IZ Central Kitchen Kitchen Display System (KDS) | Smart Kitchen Workflow & Order Management Solution

IZ Central Kitchen manages a high volume of bakery and food production orders received from multiple retail branches, corporate clients, and online channels. Relying on printed order tickets and manual communication made it increasingly difficult to maintain production accuracy, prioritize urgent orders, and track the status of each item throughout the preparation process. As order volume grew, so did the risk of missed items, production delays, duplicate work, and communication gaps between the administration, production team, and dispatch personnel.

To address these challenges, we designed and developed a customized Kitchen Display System (KDS) that digitally connects the entire production workflow. Incoming orders are automatically synchronized with the kitchen, where they are categorized based on production sections and displayed in real time on dedicated kitchen screens. Chefs and production staff can instantly view new orders, monitor preparation priorities, update production progress, and mark items as completed without relying on paper tickets.

The system also integrates seamlessly with IZGrab's order management platform, allowing administrators to monitor kitchen activity, production queues, and order completion status from a centralized dashboard. Color-coded statuses, live order updates, preparation timers, and production-stage tracking enable the kitchen team to coordinate efficiently while minimizing manual communication. Once production is complete, orders are automatically handed over to the dispatch workflow, creating a continuous digital process from order placement to delivery.

By replacing manual kitchen operations with a real-time digital workflow, the IZ Central Kitchen KDS significantly improved production efficiency, reduced human errors, enhanced communication between departments, and enabled faster order fulfillment.
